Welcome to my website, and thank you for visiting! Allow me to introduce myself. Currently teaching in the piano and vocal areas on the faculty of the University of Dayton and Sinclair College, I am the conductor of the West Chester Chorale of northern Cincinnati and the West Chester Boys and Girls Choirs. I also serve as a choral music adjudicator for Music in the Parks at Kings Island.
My vita includes teaching studio voice and piano, choral ensembles, accompanying, advanced choral conducting, choral methods, choral literature and arranging, sightsinging and aural skills, music theory, music appreciation, class piano, and voice class. I maintain a private piano and voice studio in my home in Mason.
Having taught in the public schools, I served as music director and pianist for the Cincinnati Boychoir, performing in 23 states and 11 foreign countries, with concerts by members serving in the Vienna Boys Choir in 24 additional countries.
Winner of three national piano competitions, I have given piano solo and accompanying performances throughout the United States and abroad, including concerts in New York’s Carnegie Hall and Washington, D. C.'s Constitution Hall. I received my doctorate from the College-Conservatory of Music of the University of Cincinnati.
Having presented workshops and having served as a guest conductor at universities, schools, and churches throughout the country, including interest sessions presented at conventions of the American Choral Directors Association and the Ohio Music Education Association, I have also authored a book, The Boychoir: A Practical Guide for Directors, Administrators, Board Members, Choristers, and Parents. This book will be published soon as ACDA's Monograph #15.
